Rapid is always my first choice, but they are out and don't expect any in for a while. Just called The Sled Shop and no answer....Maybe it was not meant to be! Haha.
Re: "Mud-bogging on crown land in Alberta will become quite illegal in the near fut
It's a shame when it get to this...I like to test the limits of my machine when I can don't get me wrong, but don't want to sacrifice the beautiful trails of southwest Alberta to get my fix. I am surprised that...
Calling all guru's out there. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if I can take the stock 14" LE wheels from a 2011 850XP and mount them on a 2007 Sportsman 500 that currently runs 12" wheels? I recently purchased a new set of tires and wheels and would like to sell my 30" Zilla/stock LE...
It's a tough lesson everyone learns about after market accessories. You will never get back what you put into it unfortunately...Agree with Bnorth above. If you need the cash, best to sell stock (plus snorkel I guess) and part out the goodies...
They will dig a hole much faster than the Zillas that's for sure. It all depends on what type of terrain you want to ride in, and how heavy of a thumb you have...
30" Zillas and a 2" lift Would give you an additional 3" of clearance, which would make a night and day difference. You wouldnt add a ton of weight with the tire upgrade, and with the 2" lift, you wouldn't have to worry about axle issues as the angle created isn't too extreme.
I drove an ODES sxs a couple of years back. Mind you it was only the 400c model but I found it to be a rough, underpowered ride. The frame and "roll cage" are very weak. I am sure like every other manufacturer they have changed things as they have gone along, but as stated above I agree...
I have learned that Outlaws and Backs are terrific mud slinging tires, but add considerable weight to your machine, in turn putting more stress on your axles, diffs, EPS, and belts. (amongst other things I imagine) They also tend to rob top end speed from your machine (If that's important to...
This sounds like an absolute mess! I have never personally ridden this area so take my comments for what its worth, but from what I have read this may be an impossible battle to win. The primary issue here seems to be getting the support of local residents to allow public access to the land...
I have read quite a bit about both styles/sizes and I am hearing that many prefer the gen1 31" tires over the gen2 29.5"s. Again, it's all personal opinion, but it seems to trend this way...
I have the QCS clutching, 2" lift etc...So that is not an issue. It seems that no one really thinks that the diffs are going to be an issue, which is good. Like I said I have accepted that Outlaws are primary mud tires, and that snapping an axle or two will happen...Thanks for the feedback...
I have been watching too many of Ostacruiser's videos on Youtube and think I have convinced myself to upgrade to the Outlaw tire. I currently run 30" zillas and to be honest, I haven't been stuck too many times, but I'm thinking this upgrade will give me more confidence in the skeg. I would...
Thoughts and opinions needed!
Picked up a Champion 4500 pound winch from Costco today for $138.00. Now I know you usually get what you pay for, but at that price I was willing to give it a go. My 850xp came with a crappy 2500 pound winch which is already acting up. Made it only one year...
Do you do alot of wheelies or doing some steep climbs? I had oil in the airbox from wheeling on hardpack and in the water. The air filter was soaked in oil and caused it to stall. Just a thought.
