Hi, I am looking for some advice on a solid spring upgrading to the primary clutch on a 2000 700cc Summit. I have extended the track from 136” to a 151” x 2” (2.52 pitch); gearing is now 20/44 in the chain case. This is my wife’s sled and my spare, any advice is welcome.
WOW........... looks good. My group is looking forward to using the new cabbin next winter. keep the picks coming, its nice to see the progress.
I am thinking of a trip to West Yellowstone next winter, what is the best time of year to be there? We were thinking February. Looking for a local opinion as to when we should book our trip for.
I considered XRF but they are sealed and can not be greased, IMO not the best design. Do you know if some one carries Carli in Edmonton??? or do i have to get them out of Calgary???
The alignment defiantly needs to be address. Inside of both fronts are wearing more than the out sides. I assumed that was because the ball joints were shot putting more weight on that part of the tires. It also pulls a little bit to the right. How can I tell if the Camber is out to lunch???
Does any one know of a good upgrade for the ball joints for a 2005 Dodge 2500? I am looking for a solid grease-able ball joint since the OEM ones are shot. I was thinking XRF or MOOG (Carlyle’s are too expensive). I am sure some one has an opinion and I am looking for some ones personal...
You should be able to fit 295-75-17 (34") tires under it as well. The 295 is a bit harder to find at a tire shop (limited selection of brands) but it should fit. 285-75-17 will fit no problem. Got a set of Nitro Tara Grapplers on mine, good winter tire.
That was my thought exactly. The new team appears to be a major upgrade for the XP and should produce smother back shifting and ultimately more track speed. Any one running a new Team clutch on an XP??? Looking for some ones opinion.
Any one experiencing injector problems with there 2005? I replaced 2 injectors under warranty, (last summer) and now its smoking again when you accelerate and up shift. (6 speed manual) Have a mild chip (EDGE EZ), and cold air intake but nothing else.
I agree. I have not a single problem with the stock pilot skis that came on my XP. I like them so much that I installed a set on my wife’s 2000 Summit. They greatly improved the front end flotation for her.
Talk to Ken at Specialty Sleds (Edmonton). He makes a good can. I put one on my XP two seasons ago and it sounds great. Real woke the sled up and it’s not too loud that you can’t talk around it when it’s idling.
Got price form HRT Offroad (Okotoks, AB) on a set of CARLI upper and lower ball joints, $600 for each set. $1200 for ball joints is a little much. does any one know of another brand who provides grease able ball joints for a Dodge???
I got a 2005 and have to replace the front ball joints, what manufactural do you guys recomend using? Looking for ones that can be greased. not interested in OEM if they are going to wear out again.
