so its time to install new pistions in my 2008. should i go with stock BRP pistons or an after market piston? RK Tech, Wiseco or some other manufacture??? any thoughts? mostly stock sled that is used for boon docking and mild hill climbing.
Glen,
yes and no, my block is original but the bottom end has been rebuilt twice, the reeds are original (hope that answers the question). in your opinon how do the V-Force stack up for quality, I have heard of instances of the carbon fiber has cracked and chiped away after a wile. Is the...
good to know, the only problem with keeping an eye on them in an XP is that there is a bit of work to get them out if you suspect that there is a problem. thanks for the info. Was the preformace gains noticable one you installed the V-Force reeds?
the wife and I spend a saturday driving south of spruce grove and dident see a single pile close to the road. You wouldent think that finding rocks would be so much work. does any one know of a farmer who is around Spruce Grove AB who has a rock pile that i can raid???
Thanks for the input, was there a noticable differance once you installed each set of Boyesen's Reeds? My 2000 summit has over 6600km on it and the 08 has 3200km, so i think its time to upgrade.
So whats a better buy, Boyesen or V-Force? looking for input on quality, preformance and price $$$. Looking at installing a set on both of my sleds which are only slightly modifyed. Any input is welcome.
I know that this topic has been arond for a wile but I have to ask "Which reeds are better" Boyesen or V-Force? I am looking for personal opinions and experiances. Both of my sleds could use new reeds and i am going shopping for new ones.
Well, my wife has me doing landscaping and i am looking for field stones (6"-9"). Any one in the Spruce Grove area have some that they want to get ride of? This is only somewhat related to sledding but if i don't get this job done soon i will be on the S%$# list when the snow fly's.
PM me if...
Some people just don't get it, its sad and frustrating at the same time. Revy is one place my wife likes riding with me because of the cabin. Keep up the good work and we will see you all for new years.
Picked up my replacement crank that WAS warranted by CV-Tech. :d
Eric at Specialty Sleds really came through for me. Cant say enough about his commitment to customer service. Right on....:d

I am sure glad that it held together down the trail, don't think it would have taken much to completely F*** the whole motor. Speciality Sleds is looking in to it for me, with any luck it will be warranted.
Got 3200 km on my 08, and now working on my 3rd crank. This one has 1100 km on it and it snapped in two right behind the PTO main bearing. Thinking back now, it was failing for a wile last winter. Currently rebelling for next season.
Well,,,,,,,,,, found my problem today. It appears that the PTO side of my crank shaft snapped in two, sheared right off. WTF.......... haven't seen this one done before. Good thing it lasted until I got it back to the truck or it could have made one hell of a mess to the aluminum cases if it...
