The snow toward the summit get's realy thin that way .....we turned around about halfway to the highest point between the summit cabin and tom's hill cabin .....nothing groom that way !
Rode the southside yesturday found some nice fresh (about 8" on top of 10" base ) towards the end of Manweiller trail witch was getting groomed btw .....it seem the snow is better going towards Foxcreek !
We all wish we had that much snow ....

....was at Spotted Horse lake saturday and the trail were in awsome shape and the snow in the cut lines was deeper that way too !
I have been told the snow is deeper in Fox Creek then Whitecourt ....wonder if this is accurate ??

Sandy Beach just 20 minutes north has a good mix of everything for a learner....
And some of the hills to the north can please a seasoned rider too ...
How about skidoo kit #869200752 from their accessories cataloge that come's with DS2 ski and ski leg to upgrade to 2014 configuration ....they claim that it reduce steering effort and increase steering agility and predictability ....would it fit a 2008 and cure the problem ?

They are Grip Stud (brand name) and screw in with a special tool .... The screw base is verry large and allow lots of abuse with out comming off and if they do it's the complete knoobie that give up (only seen that on bikes doe)
In the past , i try to shoot RoadGrip studs in with a stud gun...
As per my trial and error over the last 3 dacade with studded tire on bikes and Quad .....100 GripStuds per tire on a 4x4 quad works better then 400 screw per tire for snow and frozen grounds.... And outlast them too!!

Carbide tips Grip Studs are way way better then Holidays or Coldkutter screws .....they are worth the extra $$$ on a long run !
I did my Kingquad 700 using 100 per tire ....works good and stay in for a long time .
