The trails are in good shape , the cut line and unplowed Forestry roads are ok .... but the clear cut and the "Kuster hills patch" on the northern slope are not ridable ! These pics were taken Thursday Jan 20th We found about 20-24" at the base of the south slope of Goose in some old...

Rode the Summit trail , newly Betsy creek trail ,Manweiler trail put on over 130 km today .....it's rough close to the airport and some section of Summit but with some long nice portion ( 40% rough 60% nice ) Found some good untouch snow in cut lines ... We need snow for sure but overall it...

That was us ! ( am the french dude ) Hi Aaron Would you suggest a other safer spot kinda in the same area ? Goat trail can be hard on sled when snow is marginal ....

So , I will simply play safe and get piston then .... One more question , usually is it possible to replace piston in the chassis or best to remove engine ?

Thanks for pointing that out , much appreciated ! Is their any sign or way to know if a piston has a crack skirt ? Am thinking , clacking noise or looking thru the exhaust or reeds opening ....

I will checked clutch side but should mag side also be check on PTek ?

Thanks guys for all the inputs ! Sounds like no big isue using 2 rings piston in these engine. I will do a comp test before for sure , as I read that some get 7000km before isue . .....so many told me that those PTek blow up at 3000 km mark , I was a bit scared to wait .... Am a exYammy 2...

At 3800km i think it's time to do my top end in my 08 summit.... Anybody has experience with after market SPI piston in 800R Ptek engine ? How about SPI piston with 2 rings vs single ring like OEM .... Tks

116km day (76 km trails and 40 km of untouch cut lines) and came back on gas fumes ....on my old rice burner with 20 000+ km on it .... Still run btw ! I wish my 154 xp will get up to that milage one day .... :confused:

80% of The Manweeler is a smooth carpet ride .....am posting from the end of it .

Sorry the hear this . Few weeks ago ,We got our truck window broken and all containt ,gear bags stollen including 2 wallet as we were out on the trail in Whitecourt ..... bet they are the same group of scum bags !! I think the RCMP should use the similar bate trailer and sled unit the BC RCMP...

Go to the south side of the river , stage at the goat ridge parking ....from there you can make a loop via Goodman lake then back to the summit cabin via the summit trail (it been all groom more then once allready btw) then just 100ft south from the summit cabin take the Manweiller trail and...

So you carried on pass all the dead fall were we turbed around ??? Thanks for all the hard work you did ....much appreciated !
