We had a good time Friday night... bought a few things, got to visit with friends that I hadn't seen in a while and started planning for the first trip. The show was smaller and less people, but we made the best of it. We loved that you could walk around with a beer in your hand!

The show was not bad but definitely smaller. I think the reason why is the cost for a spot at that place. It's ridiculous. I had a friend with a small display, one table $1200 plus $25 dollars for the table thats crazy. Marten Equipment must pay a serious amount for their display. The Sled show needs to move to a different location to attract more suppliers. When you start thousands of dollars in the hole you need to move alot of stuff just to break even. Not good business.

Was told at the last Calgary Boat Show I worked at a few years ago that they budget $200,000 for the Calgary and Edmonton shows. That’s crazy money

The boat show is crazy … lots of money floating around those shows.

Even if they spent 1/4 of that on the sled show, I would feel that money better spent on the customer ….

Expo center is a complete rip off between parking and tickets that place makes a killing.
Have you been oilers game recently? Tickets, parking, beers, burgers, T shirt, popcorn? Easy $400.00 for two. However watch the kissy cam, short skirt lady snow pushers….., t shirt cannon, etc. plus hockey game with to many commercial intermissions. Makes the one time snowmobile show a evening entertainment deal.
