I have to say I agree with this. Guns should be a provincially regulated thing. The feds need to get out of the province’s business.
Is the grass greener on the other side of the fence?

It only takes one provincial political party to take the opposite side of wanting guns in there province.

Mayby the province restricts guns to farmers trappers, hunters. All rec use is banned.

There’s some crazy political people around Calgary council who’s have that or worse yet, very fast.

As much as I am about doing my own thing I feel in this situation, united we stand, divided we fall.

Provincial govt is much easier to have a say in or change vs feds. The more we get to municipal or provincial and out of the feds hands the better.

It's interesting how they cherry pick the data and only report the numbers as manipulated by them to meet the narrative.

Sad to see this morning that an iconic gun range in Calgary, The Shooting Edge is closing down citing, the gun bans and the effects on their business as well as rising rent costs by their landlord. Zero Handgun sales especially has been a huge factor. Another business shut down by the Lieberals.

Perfectly good business that was hurt by the government.
Do you know how long they’ve been around?
I’ve driven by there, always talked about stopping but never did…

They were saying their rent went up from $61000/month to $95000/month this year to a projected over $100,000/month in 2025. They lost $3 million annually in revenue in lost sales because of the gun bans. Not a good business model anymore for success.

some mixed responses on CGN. Some unhappy gun owners happy to see the fall.

And that is why we can not win the battle of gun ownership against the liberals, any political group for that matter. We as a gun community can't row the boat in the same direction.

What is their reasoning Ron? I have to believe any erosion of retailers and ranges is a bad thing. I know there was a big split between the Airsoft community and the Gun community in the past. That changed somewhat when Airsoft was targeted as well by the govt to a degree. The “never going to happen to me”is not a valid argument with this government in power.
