Yep, pretty much a motocross bike with lights. Not as corked up as a KTM or Husky.

Thinking of getting a bit newer than my 2016 500exc

New EXC is 15g, and then have to add/remove a bunch of stuff

450xcf-w is on “sale” but lose the street legal part

Yes ready to ride, comes with maxxis tires, no emission bs and is tuned to run properly. It has 2 tunes, dry and wet with a push of the button and a traction control mode.
Put on a few kms yesterday and it pulls hard like my buddies tuned, piped husky 501fes.

I bought one for the wife to ride, a 900 Rally model. She loves it. Added a steering stabilizer to it, as well as some creature comfort stuff for her (windshield, comfort seat, reverse lever kit, top box). it'll do 100 mph (indicated) with my fat azz on it, and lay 25 feet of rubber off the line.

I finally got the go ahead to buy a bike, I am thinking a Super Tenere, I will buy in the fall.....pretty pumped, I haven't had a bike in 10 years

Nice! Couple 700 tenures around here and they sound awesome.

Buddy in Revy had a crash the other day down at the flats. Broken wrist and bike ended up in the pond. lol

1200, shaft drive, super reliable, and I will be on road most of the time. I only need to be able to go down gravel roads, nothing extreme. With my bad back the electronic suspension should be nice being able to adjust ride firmness from the bars. Another big plus is yamaha has a good dealer network. Ducati, BMW, KTM just have limited dealers and are really inconvenient for me. My one friend has the Africa Twin, super nice bike but I think the yamaha will be more comfy. The shaft drive is huge for me, no chain mess, adjusting or replacing. I really like the Ducati desert x but the maintenance is stupid on them, pull the fuel tank to change an air filter....I don't think so lol.

Yes it's wide enough for vehicles, passed an SUV on it. You could ride a Harley on it, beautiful ride. There are campsites along the trail, fire pits and out houses. One spot is in a meadow with Beaver ponds and a Creek.
Its 88km one way, then about 10km into Castlegar.

I had a great run at dual-sport biking over the years,,, the time has come too jump into the next phaze ahead...

I bought this Rally 300 last year and racked up 14.000 kms putttzzzz-ing around...

Its in mint condition less a few scuffs on the rear plastics,,, zero scuffs on the fuel tank with bag...

I was asking $8 k for the bike and bags then dropped too $7000 with 6 years remaining transferable warranty from honda ...

I love the bike but theres no need keeping it if I'm not going too ride it...

I think its a fairly good deal for the next owner and their welcome too come take it for a ride too see if it fits their needs

Its still in break in mode as far as I'm concerned,,, it would be nice too see 15 thousand miles on it before spanking the throttle but that's just me is all...

5500 too 5700 rpms is lots for old dudes like me,,, other folks like faster and that's ok too...

Its all factory with valves in spec,,, it definitely gets great fuel mileage with the large fuel tank,,, thats why I brought it...

Its been a fantastic bike and id keep it but my motorcycle days are done,,, lots of trips across all of Our America's on many motorcycle over the years...

Alaska too Mexico many a times,,, gone for a year on 1 ride,,, that was the plan for Princess but a different mode of travel popped up...

Truck and E-bikes from here on in,,, Yuppers,,, sled days are long gone and the motorcycle days too...

Any-who,,, let others know or even your self if your pondering the idea of trying one out even if you don't buy it...

Its definitely a fun bike for those that are intrested in short or long hual rides or the world famous load and go...


I'm all about slow and sight-see'ing,,, no wheelys or jumps,,, its all about keeping the tires planted...

Gravel roads and secondary slab only...


I'm glad I took out the extended warranty even though it cost a few bucks but well worth it come sales time...
