Me and my oldest are working on one of our freestyles. Summer father/son project. Let him pick how he wants it to look, dad will fund and provide guidance, but he's doing alot of the work. Looking forward to this. Bought him a mint 121 x 1.35 Cobra track a few weeks ago for a few hundred bucks
Lots of track for a 300.

With all the COVID time in my hands I started 3 projects last September. The first one I pulled out was my Dads 1970 Panther. This sled is like brand new. And the reason it’s so nice is that it would never run for long with out vapor locking and getting drug back to the truck. If I wanted to ride it I would need to put something more reliable into it so I found a 80 John Deere with a 440 Kawasaki, basically the same engine Cat used later on and rebuilt it and it bolted and plugged right in. Now with a mikuni carb and CDI ignition it starts and runs amazing !!

The next one I tackled is a 80 SRX
I had 3 of these sleds and took the best parts and made one good one

NOS crank bearings and trued
Re sleeved and 10 over
All drive line bearings new
New 3/4 inch camoplast track
Powder coated suspensions
Paint and decals new

got out for one hot lap in March b4 the snow left. What a fun fast little sled !!

Lost heat in my shop so had to do the decals on the kitchen table.
Lol

The last project is a 91 Indy 650 141 MOD

This sled looked good when I got it but mechanically was a disaster

Completely rebuilt engine and crank
Heads cut 0.40
Decker triple pipes
Gripper skis
New 1.75 141 camoplast track
New paint and decals
Custom seat

This thing is almost done now and it sounds AWSOME !!
Can’t wait for the snow

My first sled was 80 srx440 with comet clutche’s. Won many races with that sled. Both drag, xcountry, poker rally. Crashed on lake doing 100 mph. Hit a blind drift. Watched sled cartwheel at least 3x. I was little shook up, and sore next week. However only thing that broke on the Yamaha was the short windshield. Nursed myself home, and ordered new shield. Should have never sold that little sled. It was a rocket. 👍👍🥃
