I agree with the post on not going to MEC however I know the ceo of MEC and they are working on changing this as I have called them hypocrites for years. Even took him sled skiing. However they do have the lowest price on a tracker at 277.00 cheers dave

Hey there saw your post, I recommend you get a DTS Tracker. Way easier than the sos. I used that for years and love it and you can be just as fast as a tracker if you have a lot of experience, but if this is your first beacon then do your self a favor and get a digital. I have done a lot of avy clinics and I can give someone who has never seen a beacon before and watch them use and find a buried beacon super fast. The sos product is great it just takes more practise to be efficient with them. Nice when the ch!t hits the fan that you do not really have to think cause you won't be thinking straight if you see someone caught in an avy...my 2 cents. Have a great season.dave
