SUPPORT THE CANADIAN AVALANCHE CENTRE FUND DRIVE

The Revelstoke Snowmobile Club has started a 'Support the CAC' drive to collect donations to be turned over to the CAC in light of the 'bad press' snowmobilers are receiving that 'we don't pay our own way'. Recent articles in many of the major newspapers are stating that the snowmobile community does not pay into the CAC yet we make many demands on the CAC for avalanche information as well as a great deal of other misinformation.

We have set up a special account at the Revelstoke Credit Union for this fund drive only.

You cheques can be sent to the club at:

Make the cheque out to the Revelstoke Snowmobile Club but mark on the cheque the reference number to the special account:

1500267947 (CAC Donation Acct.)

We will post your names on the web site when you make a donation as well as sending you a special decal you can display stating that you made a donation to this cause.

All money collected will be turned over to the Canadian Avalanche Centre in the names of the two fellows killed in the Turbo Hill avalanche as well as the fellow killed in the Eagle Pass avalanche and those injured in these slides.

The Club has started the fund moving by donating $1500.

We hope we can count on you, the sledding community, to support us in this endeavor.

This one will be a one time donation Dusty, but we do have plans for another fundraiser for next season. It`s gonna be good, and it will take a lot of help and participation to pull it off :d Hope to do it around the time we have the video premier next fall.

So as the season approaches again I`d just like to remind you all about the ongoing fundraiser for the CAC the RSC started in the spring to remember snowmobilers that lost their lives in the Turbo and Eagle Avy`s last Mar. Go to the Canadian Avalanche Centre Fund Raiser on the club`s home page to see our generous donators to date. We were hoping to make the donation this fall. Remember you get a decal showing your support to the CAC as a snowmobiler.
