Join Octane Productions in an exploration into the world of women backcountry snowmobilers. Shaun Brender expertly captures and brings to life the technique and personality of these dedicated women in a full length film shot in HD. From the expansive Rocky Mountains of Colorado to the densely treed gullies of North Idaho then stretching into the rock lined chutes of British Columbia these riders passionately explore all aspects of the backcountry sledding experience while pushing the limits of their machines and shifting boundaries within the sport of women’s snowmobiling. Footage looks fantastic, looks like it will be a great film...

I do however question the thinking behind the title. Our sport and moreso our participants have been cast as a bunch of out of control, reckless, drunken rednecks, and yet you chose the title 'Flirting with Danger'???

May not have been the best choice, but I will still watch it...

PB, you make a great arguement, and I agree, if I am going to rent/buy a sledding film, the name catches my eye immediately but I guess I was only thinking of how other non-sledding people would react and really I guess who cares. I guess I am just sick of all the non-sledders that seem to stick their noses into the sport and have such huge opinions about something they have never done.

However, to answer your question, NO I would not have chosen 'Fluffy Meadow Tea Party' unless I ever get into shooting porn LOL

I tell you what.. the only thing that is harder than herding women is picking a title to a video! LOL

With that said, we wanted something somewhat girly, but not OVERLY girly. Wanted something catchy but dang most cool names have been taken with in the video world (not just sledding, but thinking snowboarding and skiing and on and on).

We realize that this isn't as hard core as some videos out there BUT we are starting to push our limits and testing waters... ie flirting (girlie part of the name) with the idea of what's next. And we all know what is next in the sledding world... danger (not so girlie part of the name). It's reality, this sport is dangerous! What we can do is face that danger with a preparedness and with some training and education! This makes me think of Megan's write up she did for Octane about climbing Monster. She didn't just go attack it one day, she spent months training and preparing for it!

And throughout the video, you will not see recklessness. If someone wants to read into the title of the video, they very well could be WAY off base. For one, remember, these are women sledders... the analizers, thinkers and hesitaters of the sport! LOL

The second way to read into the titles it is to think that this is going to be as insane as Slednecks... it isn't that CRAZY! But it's a bunch of ladies exploring the limits of the more dangerous aspects of sledding ie cliffs, chutes, huckin' it, trees, etc etc. Not just a bunch of meadow poofin'.

So, a bit long winded, but hopefully some insight?

I got to thinking about this part of my long winded speech and one thing I'm very proud of is that you will see 4 of the ladies riding with avy packs on in our video! That's a very high ratio!!!

I just watched the video and I really liked what I seen. Hopefully the whole video is along the lines of the trailer. I'm not a big fan of sledding videos but I did buy Sledbetties and really enjoyed it. I'm sure this will be even better!

So the real question is where can we all get our copy?

hahahhaha, cale you crack me up! ya, I'm thinking a different film would have developed had we named it fluffy something or other!

and brandy was right on, the women who ride in this film are NOT overly dangerous, but they ARE pushing their limits and the limits of the women's scene! and yup, many of them ride with avy packs and have had extensive avy training!! so yay ladies! yet again, you repped well without us even planning it! hahahhaah
